Reached by the Bridge or the Kylerhea ferry to Glenelg - both these places are a must if you have the time. To reach Kylerhea turn off the main road at the Ashaig air strip. The road to the village can only be described as exciting with regard to both the terrain and views. There is an otter sanctuary in Kylerhea and in Glenelg there can be seen eighteenth century army barracks and a number of well preserved brochs.

The drive back to Skye passes over the unforgettable Mam Ratagan and down into Glenshiel where the road joins the main thoroughfare to Kyle of Lochalsh. This latter village is sited on the mainland side of the Bridge and it worth a wander - so tarry a while.
