Take the Armadale road and turn off at Ord (there are some beautiful beaches in this area - a favourite spot of ours), drive on through Tokavaig, Tarskavaig and Achnacloich. This is arguably the most beautiful part of Skye. It will take you a good 2 hours - unless you rush and that is unlikely when you see the road! From Achnacloich the road winds back to the main road by Ostaig - the site of the famous Gaelic College, Sabhal Mor Ostaig. Do not forget to drive on to Ardvasar - another favourite of ours - and Armadale. If you have time take the ferry across to Mallaig - once the largest herring port in the world and worth a visit - it can easily be done in a day.
